Not living in the USA, I am not sure when Thanksgiving is but I know that it is roughly now. I would like to take this opportunity to say how thankful I am for all the Cuties, not only in the USA but all over the world. Thank you all for your kindness and helpfulness. Hugs Sarah

Thank you Sarah. I am so thankful for you. I am blessed and so thankful for my friends in so many places.
I still have a few hours before Thanksgiving Day and about 12 hours before the food goes in the oven.

Hi Sarah, yes, we are the same in Australia. It is actually today. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving like the Americans and Canadians do. I believe Canada celebrates theirs on the second Monday in October.

I want to send my thanks also the wonderful people on this site. And thanks for all the blessings that we receive from our families, loved ones and friends. Love and blessings Chris

Thanks. Actually Thanksgiving and Christmas are very different. The food served is similar. Thanksgiving came about from the Pilgrims being grateful that they had survived their first year in North America. Christmas celebrated the birth of Christ. There are no presents given for Thanksgiving. And Christmas has unfortunately, become a holiday of consumerism. I hope this helps explain the difference.
