I've spent the last few weeks reorganising my sewing room and I think it is just about finished. I thought I'd better share these pictures before it is a mess again!

I had a mottley collection of furniture which is now replaced by a worktop going right across the room under the window, I have storage space underneath, plus shelves which are out of the picture.
I've even managed to recover my chair to my satisfaction.
Anyone want to pop round for a sewing day?

Very pretty rainbow on your wall...
I love what you have done with your sewing space! It is so neat and tidy. I would pop round -- but I need to save up a bit to get there.

Like how you used your work space. Everything has it's own spot and you have plenty of natural light coming into your room.

Well done Sue, I love tidying up my room. Sometimes it looks like a cotton fairy has been flying around with cotton tails being left around. I always collect my threads, but it's all the little bits that come off the fabrics. Trev vacuums for me and is always commenting on it! Who am I to complain at least the room is getting vacuumed!!! he he he! Love Chris

Wow I love your storage-idea for the hoops and the thread. Never thought on stick then upside down. That's waht I love on CUTE: You always find new ideas to make your carfting easier (or your to-do-list longer ;o).
Greetings, Bettina
PS: Felix is just sitting on my second table and cuts some paper-stars for christmas. If my kids are at home I often have company :-)

We made the thread rack before I got the Marathon threads and they don't fit the right way up!
by ansalu 30 Nov 2013
This is a great idea. I have often seen thread-racks I like but they are too small for those cones. Maybe now I would buy them ;o)

I Love your room. It ALL seems so practical and useful. I too would pop over and sew with you. But I fear it would take too long to get there. Hey I haven't been here lately. Where are all of the free designs from everyone? What happened?

WOW looks great Sue , I have put them through Photoshop and lightened them, so I can have a really good look, for ideas for my new room. The work surface looks a good idea and if the radiator is under it, the heat can still get out. I like the see through boxes too as you can see whats in them,Love your thread rack. Have you got your Lap top over the other side. Give us feed back how it all works out.
enjoy Hugs Pam.

The laptop can fit between the two machines, but the wifi is intermittent. The see through drawers are from Wikos - various sizes and so useful!

Love your new sewing room, it looks a great place to sit and sew. I am impressed with the organisation. Sadly my sewing room is at the other end of the spectrum at the moment. Hope you have many happy hours sewing in your new room

Isn't that the truth, especially during Christmas gift making season. Don't try looking in at my room--enter at your own risk. LOL
