I listened to this news this morning and offer all the South African cuties my sincere sympathy.

Inevitable, but still very sad. The news was announced just as the premier of "The long walk to freedom" was happening in London. He is surely free now.

A great man, a great spirit who made already history alive, a man we always will remember, may he have rest and peace now.

I was so sad when I saw the news in the paper this morning. Such a great personality, a really wise man...

He will be sadly missed. One of the greatest men in History.

RIP Mr Mandela, you deserve a rest for all your contributions to a better world. He always said to make your enemies your friends and if only we could do just that. A great man for sure.

If each person lived their lives with the same conviction he lived his, we would have a peaceful world. The world is in mourning.

He gave peace a chance.

He was one of my heroes. I never thought in my lifetime to see him even released from prison, let alone become president of his country. What an amazing man! Being in the USA, I never got to see him personally, but did converse with Bishop Desmond Tutu, and felt I was holding Brother Nelson's hand through Brother Desmond's. It was close enough. There will never be another like him. I cried half the morning, the loss was that personal. SA Cuties, my deepest heartfelt sympathy for your grave loss, and ours.
