My mum thought that all the time and miserably failed changing me, and I would not want to change now!
The things my Mother wanted to correct in me were the ways I was MOST like her (like... overweight, outspoken, blunt....)

Since my mom is 87 and I was such a handful when I was younger, I thought I should finally apologize. She has Alzheimer's. I said, "Mom, I'm sorry I was such a difficult kid." She said, "Ah, you got over it. And you were always interesting." I loved her answer. She got a little upset with someone for saying she was a "spit fire" until I explained that was a compliment. I hope I'll always be like my mom <3
