I haven't been online much as I decided it was time to clean out some old boxes I had hidden away while renovating (and I'm ashamed to say how long ago that was). While cleaning, I found a couple of boxes with unfinished quilt tops - some of these were started before I'd ever taken classes and knew what I was doing. I think they turned out OK don't you?

I think they turned out great, and as a beginner you did a great job,
surprising what we find in those old boxes isn't it

Once I got them all sewed up and quilted I was glad I had found the. I have 2 more left to finish, but they'll have to wait until after the holidays.

well, sometimes it pays not to rush things! The quilts look really great. Now you can go forth into 2014 with a nice warm feeling inside (and under your quilts too) knowing that you've got a few UFO's done.

3 down and 2 more to go. I'll be happy and warm when they're all done.

These are very nice. I dread the day I decide to want to redo my sewing area. It will take a week just to pack it all out of way to paint.

Oh gosh - I couldn't imagine how long it would take me now. I bet I have enough fabric to start my own store now. After the holidays I am going to hunker down and get a bunch of quilts made for the cancer clinic - that should use up some of my stash.

Thanks. I gave it to a good friend for Christmas and she loved it!

I am so jealous! I really like them all! Do you have them professionally quilted?

No, I quilted them myself. I bought a mid-arm quilter and frame this summer ad am learning as I go. These UFOs were the perfect test quilts.

really like the bottom one - great to show off the fabric! And they all look finished now - did you quilt them? Even more impressive. I'm sure I could find half done tops somewhere in the depths of the sewing room but not 3 finished ones! What a great present to yourself.

The quilt tops were in various states of completion. I had a lot of sewing to get them finished and I have 2 more that are just about done. I quilted them myself on my new-to-me quilt machine.
