It's still the 23rd here ( for another 45 min). After much delay due to cancelled ferries, bad weather and high waves my daughter, granddaughter and SiL arrived at a friends' and we'll see them on Boxing Day. I am so looking forward to it.

It's been a weird summer here on the mainland. A fire, wow - and we've been sweltering in nearly 38C and unbearable H U M I D I T Y which is draining. Have a great time with your family Shirley and you're welcome. Love Chris
No sign of a white christmas here this morning. Sun is shinning. My niece had a white Christmas in Emmaville NSW last week though, due to a heavy hail storm which caused damage to her house and others as well. Shirley

Thanks Jerrilyn, it's 8.20am Christmas Day here - been up since 6.00 gone for our morning walk. I've crisped the proscuitto for a beautiful salad and grilled the peach slices.
