It is made of elastic fabric. I embroidered all parts separately.
then I sewed them from above.

What a great idea, can this go through luggage check as is? Or did it have to be removed?

That is a very good question. I wonder who could answer it.
I this was used 2 times. at flight on regular flight to Sochi and Marmaris. I didn't remove.

Nice easy to find luggage with a great custom cover like this. I love the added glow in dark strips on the handle and sides. At least it looks it in pic 2 and 3

What a neat idea! You could change your suitcase depending on where you are going, and you'd NEVER have a hard time finding it in the luggage carousel!! Very COOL! BTW, you did a beautiful job too! LOL

Это вискозный трикотаж) Очень хорошо тянется и легко натягивается. Чемодан небольшой и например у Аэрофлота проходит как ручная кладь)
В багаж сдавать если, лучше пленкой все же обматывать) .. Дочка летала с ним уже 2 раза) Довольна. Пленкой не обматывала, т к неожиданно чемоданчик у регистрации отобрали и он уехал в бвгвж) на фото её друг по прилету в Турцию). Делали ночью перед отлетом, марку с Турцией не нашли). планирую еще налепить на него нашивок тех мест где еще побывает)
Мне кажется можно и из плащевой ткани сшить, прочнее будет. в этом случае придется по всему боку делать липучку)

Love his! Did you find a pattern to use, or did you create it yourself? I would love to make something like this for my MIL. She travels someplace different each year. It would be so much fun to create travel patches for her representing all the places she has been.

Such a neat idea to make a patch of where every one travels and to not only keep the luggage clean but to keep all the pockets and zippers from being ripped off an expensive piece of luggage.
