hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all. I love this site and check back frequently. Still a newbie, so have a question - Is there a program that I can put a design into and visually see it stitch out ? the order of what is stitched and when. I am convinced I saw something somewhere but try as I might, I cant remember what / where. I have no editing software.

I love my Embird software! The best for the reasonable price!! Purchase the basic; it has many features you'll love. The small cost for its Iconizer plug-in is not even a consideration for the help it gives for machine embroidering. Check out the features of Embird at www.embird.net.

I love to watch designs stitch out on the screen in Embird! Much better than TV.

Well, there you have it :). Question answered. I have Artista but it is proprietary to Bernina, so if you have another brand : Embird.

ArtLink at Bernina USA (Free Download) has a visual stitch out of designs.

Pulse Ambassador is free and it shows the draw ribbon (stitch out)....under 'view'>draw ribbon>then the play button as for a video. PE Design has stitch out. My Editor has sequence viewing, as well as" show up to curser", so you can move your mouse and see the stitches as they are sewn. Great fun watching this miracle!

I have a professional Janome digitizing program, but I often use Tajima's Pulse Ambassador, the free program download that Awesome1 recommended below just to look at designs. It's free, doesn't require any kind of key or dongle, you can leave the icon on your desktop and it loads in just a couple minutes, and reads almost any embroidery format. I actually like the "draw ribbon" in the Tajima free program better than the one in my horribly expensive digitizing software, because you can move it back and forth, kind of like going back and forward on a tape in an old VCR, you can find stitch problems much easier with it than with my Janome software. Sorry I don't have the link, but just search "Tajima Pulse Ambassador", you should find it easily. I think you'll enjoy it. Hugs, Marji

And I like Briton Essentials. Easy directions, very versatile and you can add upgrades as they come out.
