Prayer please. My newest grandbaby's cord blood test results came today and are positive for Lyme. He is 4 weeks old and older sister is almost 2. Her cord blood showed negative for Lyme. The parents, my daughter and her husband are sad. There is treatment. They now will have both children tested from their own body blood to be certain. We didn't know until about 4 years ago that I gave my children Lyme in utero. I don't know how I got it way back whenever! The 1950s Lyme is easier to treat, thank you, God! Thank you in advance as you read this and pray for healing and positive attitudes. Bless you for caring about others.Hugs, Joan

Prayers for your little ones, your own kids, and you! I never realized Lyme could be caught in utero, I think that this disease is far more widespread than we think, people are just not being diagnosed with it unless the symptoms are bad. Even our dogs are at risk for Lyme. Both my dog Jamie and my cousin's dog Benji have had it. I didn't catch Jamie's until it caused so much pain in his knees he could hardly walk, and the same thing happened to my cousin. Unfortunately for Benji, it went into his kidneys, which will eventually be a bad outcome, even though the disease itself is cured. I'm not sure that people who live in rural areas should not have themselves and their pets tested on a routine basis, because the faster it's cured the less the damage. I'm so sorry this is happening to your family, and you will all be in my prayers for healing, restoring a great quality of life to all. Big hugs, Marji

At least they know about it to get early treatment. Praying that the little one will continue to thrive and be free of the symptoms.

Sending prayers for the whole family. I have heard of Lyme but don't know what it actually is. Hope all is well if they have treatment for it.

You and your GS are in my prayers. Here's to hoping a guardian angel is watching over the family and guiding the medical providers to do whatever is necessary to get the little fella back to feeling well.

My thoughts are with you and your family. My youngest daughter had to have a complete blood transfusion at birth so I know what a worry it must be for you.
