So who wants to play a little guessing game? How many stitches and or design elements do you think went into this tree skirt? I did this before christmas for a very deal friend and she was thrilled. I personalized it with the family names and names of her grandchildren. He dear dad had a campground for many years and when she save I have added the sign with the campground name on it she started to cry.
You can guess I worked extra hard on this one and it was truly a labor of love, for her and her family, the are very dear to us. So let the guessing begin LOL
thanks for looking and have fun, gave you a couple of closeups so you can see better.
hugs
Michelle
one million is too high, took me 2 days to embroider with 3 hoopings. I think it is pretty special
and your guess is almost right lol
I am extremely proud of this one,
yes lots of love and time spent hunting the designs for this one. I will be adding to this as her family grows and she was so excited and happy to put it out on display. I would love to do one of these with an indoor family Christmas scene, something else to add to my ''to do list''
hugs my friend
your a little too high

approximately 7.5 hours of stitching time and remember this is on my new industrial machine, would have taken days on my viking machine. I am very proud of this project
hugs
Nope your too low, oh this is fun lol
My guess is 280,000.
your guess is too low and as for the designs, they come from so many places I would not know where to start, will check and see if I can retrace him
Nope there are alot more than that, more than that in just one hooping.
What size is the Design 30cm X 60cm ??
Oh my that is too, too high and the size is 91cm wide by 41cm high. Yes to create the scene there are base elements and decorative ones as well. It is like painting a picture, base then embellishments.
Many, many more than that lol
No matter the stitches -- it is a wonderful piece of artwork! Excellent!
How many times did you have to change out threads? I do know it would take too long on my machine and I doubt mine would allow the thread count on several of the pieces.
Nevertheless, it is an absolutely outstanding piece of art embroidery. You should have put it in a show somewhere. I'm not surprised your friend cried when she saw it. Love your work, love Chris
Your not bad on the stitch count but way off on the element count, I am having fun with this.

Too low on the stitch count. All of these many many design elements were combined and I shall explain it all once the guessing game is over, be patient lol
u took lot of efferts.. so many hours to complete this..
Congrats...!!
I did all the embroidery over 2 days
The hours involved must have been mind boggling! I can't wait til the game is over and you tell us all the answers. Beautiful-- beautiful.
The patience involved here is awe
On my regular machine this would have taken a very long time, I am Lucky to have such a large hoop.
Your stitch count is the closest, you are not far off.
I will guess 35 elements and 600,000 stitches, you have done a beautiful job piecing this scene together, I recognize a few different pieces in it but not all.
I declare you the winner with the right number of elements and just 50 some thousand stitches off. Wish I could give you a prize LOL

I am sure she will cherish this for years to come and then will hand it down to her younger son (he is like a son to me)

I did this on my new industrial ''Happy'' machine, large hoop and ran it at 750SPM.
Choosing the designs was the fun part. I go through my many designs and place everything into a folder, then I do a first sort to discard what I will not use and then start dissecting what I will use. Prepare everything and then like a puzzle start piecing everything together. I enjoy that part.
Maureen
too many stitches, not enough elements lol
Might not be so special if I saw it all year round lol
Pretty good guess just a few too many stitches and not enough elements,
As far as being on this level, just go for it you never know what you can do until you try.
I used my large hoop 400 x 400mm so less hoopings for me.
I tried to add lots of elements to represent the house in the country.
still too high but that's o.k LOL
I would guess 850,000 stitches and about 50 designs.
Hugs, Lidia
too high on both counts, better luck next time lol
our friendship is very special. have know her for over 20 years.
everyday you learn something new and one day you will attempt something like this and it will be a success, if you believe in yourself, you can do anything

It has nothing to do with digitizing cut taking sections of designs and creating new ones. very hard to explain, you just have to practice with a good program, I have embird,
Always trying to tell a story and this one is ''Winter wonderland,
