I is my version of Sue's octagon mat. I am calling it my dieter's mug mat - no room for a cookie. A very unique and fun project to make. I was too excited to try the design to put any embroidery design in the center, but I definitely will make more and add embroidery to the next ones. Thanks again Sue. As always, Susan

Another fantastic "Dewsbury Twist" ...it's not too late to add a design in the center...if you choose a redwork type design...you could put it in the center and it would "quilt" through to the back...just a thought...

I agree with Loralye and highlandermom- it looks like sunshine!! Maybe that's because we have none here. "Don't go outside or flesh will freeze" warnings are all over the news. At least I feel warmer looking at your bright sunny mat. Great job!

It is cold here too. I live in Florida. They are saying it will be in the 20's here tomorrow morning.

I like the yellow centre, without any embroidery to take the 'eye' away from the colours you have used.

How lovely the colours look like the sun rise over the water the other morning as I was going to work at 5am. Felt like stopping on the bridge to soak it in.
