I made these gifts for friend who was having a new baby in Dec. The swaddler is for the new baby. The corner bookmark is for the teenage daughter. The patchwork puppy is for the kindergarten boy who I made a blanket for when he was born six years ago.

I know with the younger siblings, it's a nice idea to get a gift since all the attention is focused on the mom and new baby.

I noticed baldacchino/ Sherene posted a pic of a really cute swaddler, and teddybear117 posted some links in the sewing community. I forgot to mention that my " baby swaddler" pattern is from Embroidery Library projects. It's simple to make. There is a pocket in the middle to tuck around the baby before wrapping up.
