I went to the dollar store today, to get some black shelf liner for Avery's boot soles (look in Projects or sewing).Anyway this is what I got for $6 and some change. The bags were $2 each, got for 20 cents. They are fleece, not felt and have a knitted top band, for the drawstring casing. They are appliqued.I can't make for 20 cents each=80 cents for that...then the bells were $1.50 each. I got 11 packs for 15 cents each=$1.65 for all...then there were those little cute soft puppies.they were $10. each but of course I got for $1.each= $2 for both, instead of $20 !!!.....And then I saw the trees! The 4 big ones were $4. each, yeah, by now you know, I paid 40cents each= $1.60 and the only little one (I couldn't leave it, now would you have left it? Of course not! ) was $1. and I paid 10 cents...No I didn't find the black shelf liner for the boots there, I HAD to go to the other dollar store.LOL-LOL-LOL

I thought so.This little kids (maybe the ones on my bus if not my own) will like the puppies. The bags are good for the kids too.I may re-purpose the bells and use the tree frames, if I don't use the trees ,or when they lose the luster.

Many years ago Woolworths were everywhere, I miss them I wonder if they are the same as what they used to be. I remember my mom would buy evening in paris cologne, they also used to have a soda fountain that served food as well, and also used to have tiny baby alligators. lol!

Oh boy, what memories of the Woolworth's soda fountain...loved going after school for fries and coke, thanks for the memories

Babsie, I do feel good when I save.My sister used to joke with me and say,if my husband had a higher paying job,he would be a millionaire because I can make his money go a long way.I guess we will never know, since he never had that high-paying job and he now is retired-LOL

Lots of good after Christmas sales still going on. I've figured out sometimes it is cheaper to buy something than to make it. Then again making it the quality is better.

You certainly got a good deal! Makes me want to chk out my dollar store tomorrow. Can't really tell how big the little bags are but yes, they would make cute gift bags to fill for a nursing home, kids or just to use for gift cards.
