Yesterday we said good-bye to my beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Lady, aged just 13 yrs 3 months.
She came to me 11 years ago, when my second husband passed away and none of his daughters wanted to take her. She quickly fitted into my two cat household and when Ray joined us she was smitten with him, never leaving his side whenever he was outside working.
I don't know how much pain a heart can take, but losing all three of my babies in less than six months is certainly pushing me to the limit.

Good morning, I'm so sorry your furbabies have crossed over the rainbow bridge...They know you miss them horribly and you know they are in a better place but it still hurts. Your pain will lessen in time do not be hard on yourself, grieve as you will and pray. It does help. LOTS of hugs to you, Pat

I am thinking & praying with you. The sad thing is it does'nt get better with time. The pain gets easier but the loss never goes away just softer because they are a part of our being. When I as only 5 someone poisened my dog and I stopped eating and ended up in the hospital. Mutt is still with me but it is better and he is more hansom.

Dear Meg and Ray, I'm so sorry to read this, as you know we've been up in the Hunter Valley since Friday and have no mobile phone reception and I didn't access the computer as John and Deirdre were having problems with their router. I hope you guys are doing o.k. without her - I just loved Lady.

I feel as though I have had the stuffing kicked out of me right now and I know Ray is finding it tough to go downstairs and see all the "Lady" paraphernalia that is a sad reminder of our missing girl. She was the first dog Ray had had since his childhood and she was such a character she had him wrapped around her furry paw, she will be irreplaceable.
