Last of my tree skirts, I cheated on this one by using the same country house panel as on my last one I showed you. This client love, love, loves snowmen and so do her son and daughter and so she wanted lots of them. I think this one foots the bill. Again over 500,000 stitches and many elements, color changes and 3 hoopings.

Thanks for looking,
hugs
Michelle

Would love to make myself a tree skirt. What fabric do you use for yours?

by michemb 12 Jan 2014
Thanks and WELCOME to cute embroidery,
I use satin fabric and a batting between the two layers. Works great even with the density of the designs.

What a beauty Michelle. Did you digitize the large snowman with the people around him? This skirt is fantastic!

by michemb 12 Jan 2014
thank you,
No I do not digitize, the snowman unfortunately is no longer available, I have had him for a long time.

Michelle, you can still buy the "Lollystick Ring Around The Snowman" at Shoply for $3.99. It comes in 4 sizes, all for the same price. I thought others might like to know that they can buy one too. Fit To Be Stitched is the one selling it.

Thank you so much Chris,
I don't know about outdoing myself but I sure am having fun doing them. When you enjoying this craft as much as I do, it isn't work, it is pleasure.

Thanks Sharon,
She was very happy and I wish I could have been there to see the children's faces when they noticed their names on the gifts under the mailbox.

Everything about this project is fabulous! Your ability to place designs just where you want them makes me jealous. I like the fringe you added too. It doesn't distract from the designs, but finishes it off nicely. Well done!

Yes I think the fringe it just right.

Your tree skirts are so beautiful, Michelle. I've never seen any to compare with their artistic placement. I am so happy that you now have a new embroidery machine....you're talent would have been stunted by the limitations of a single needle. Very well done.

Thank you so much, I am blushing,
I would never have thought that I would be doing something like this say 5 years ago and yes they are a lot of work but I do enjoy every moment of it and with my new machine, well I can't be happier,

How many days did it take to stitch this gorgeous heirloom? Is it stitched on satin?
by michemb 15 Jan 2014
thank you Katydid
This took about 6 hours with my new machine and yes it is stitched on satin with a batting in between layers.
