Noah, We've been in your cold Arctic influence but today at 7 a.m. a warm front came shoving in and we had the biggest lightning fireworks (and thunder that sounded like the 1812 Overture) I've ever seen on my hill. Fried one of my cable tv boxes (direct hit?) but not the other. The loudest alarm clock I've ever had. Now, beautiful and warm, sunny and the cats are out luxuriating in it. The only thing that would be better for them is if their brick columns/lookout posts would dry out.

Wow,Carolyn, that's impressive. I enlarged the pic and can see the flakes are twice the size of the door knob on that building. There's a joke in Quebec that goes like this: in Jonquiere (Chicoutimi) we have the largest blueberries in the world, it only takes 1 to make a whole pie...you could reply that in your part of the world it only takes 10 snowflakes to cover your whole lawn...

Very difficult for me to even imagine the actual coldness of this weather. The closest I've been to snow is in the mechanical ski slope in the city of Adelaide (Sth Australia). We are getting ready for a 5 day heat-wave, with every day about 37-42 degrees celsius. About as good as your snow to look forward to!!!

DARLIN' you just keep that snow...its been a weird winter so far....we had light rain and 55 degrees on Friday...cold storm brought more rain and up to 22" of snow on our mountains...they are far enough away not to touch us though...little chilly but passable for January...I don't ever remember having this warm of a winter...Not that is really warm, but its not below freezing and thats good....

This looks wonderful! We don't have snow in my country and my husband laugh at me when I jump for joy when the weather man in huntsville say there will be a snow in the forcast ( which is just a flurry can't even make anything) For someone like me I just want to experience it even once see it for myself and enjoy the snow. do I sound weird? Thank you for sharing this pic.

woah! Stop the presses! How many inches do you have? You know snow and I believe I have never seen a flake so large. Sunny, Dry and Cold here. Snow should be completely melted by the week's end.

This is beautiful, to people that don't have it,but I know it is work for you.We used to have this when we lived in Germany, but as we lived in a 3rd floor apartment and the landlord lived on the first floor of the home,he shoveled all the walks every morning. Maybe that's why he had so much liquor in the basement-LOL
