Hi,

Just wanted to let everyone know I have not been around for awhile and haven't been able to say Happy Birthday to anyone because I had Herpes Simplex on the cornia of my eye. That means I had a Chickenpox on my eye. Had a problem with seeing some things. Getting better but also found out I have Glaucoma in both eyes. Hope to be my old self real soon. Arlene

That is miserable and glad you are healing up. Our daughter had the chicken pox's when I was nine months pregnant and I got the adult version and ended up in the emergency room with one half of my face and my eye swollen shut.

Glad you are feeling better. My chicken pox were in my nose and ears (and everywhere else) and luckily not in my eyes (already can't see worth a darn). Keep healing!

I know exactly how you've been feeling because I also had the same thing. I first thought I had poison ivy in my eye so I went to the doctor and he told me it was Herpes Simplex because I had chickenpox when I was little and I now carry the virus in my body which I already knew I did as I always had fever blisters when I was younger but since I've gotten older (become a senior citizen) I am not bothered to much with them anymore. Good luck to you, Juanita

My goodness! Maybe the chickenpox was a blessing in disguise...found the glaucoma so it can be treated with drops? Praying you're well & clear sighted!!

I agree with you. Even though I had it I was so glad to that I found out about the Glaucoma. It was what they call normal pressure glaucoma so it's harder to see. Thanks
