1/19/14 What are you guys stitching on these days, now that Christmas, even Orthodox Christmas is over? I'm still finishing up Christmas, just had some cute designs that never got stitched, that I'm making to put away for next December. Then I think maybe back to onesies or quilt squares. All this sewing room cleaning must be the way you change gears for the next season. I seem to get mine partially done every three months.

Call those items you didn't have time to make for Christmas this year a jump start for this coming Christmas. I've been repairing clothing and making some items for our daughter to take on a cruise in a couple weeks. Ordered a new blade for my serger and then today took it all apart and cleaned/oiled/new needles. Besides cleaning up ones space there has to be machine maintenance.

Right now I am in the mode for valentines day. Doing some FSL hearts with red and white variegated thread. Also am following the Bon Bon Bash at San Francisco designs and am working on my candy. I also have some birthday gifts to work on. I also am working on Project Linus blankets and inbetween times working on UFO's. I have lots of projects going on right now. Hugs, Mary

I have a couple of granddaughters birthdays coming up I need to work on first since I have very little time off work. One of the projects is a UFO I hope to get done, but need to find it first. lol!

I think I am living vicariously through all of you. I did manage to stitch up 6 FSL angels, but I am still battling vertigo so it is hard to hoop.

Aren't you smart to get ready for next Christmas already! I keep saying I will start sooner and it never happens! I'd really like to start on October first so I have plenty of time to get ready. i'm one of those "just one more" kind of people. I'm always afraid I hav forgotten someone or not enough done for someone. I haven't started cleaning my sewing room yet. We moved here Sept first and I broke my wrist so I still have shelves to put up. Maurice was going to do that but he just had a car accident and broke a bone in his foot so it's his turn to be out of commission! I may just ask my son to put them up but he rarely gets time off. I may just have to do it myself if I want them up. I still have lots of unpacked boxes in my way. I'd love to be organized like everyone else seems to be!

So clever to be making for Christmas already! I am not doing much embroidery as I am sewing the dresses for my daughter's wedding on 21 March. Plus I am busy making a little dress for a friend's daughter who is going to her first Valentine's dance. We had a fitting yesterday and she told me that she felt just like the princesses in the movies when they have dresses made for them, except I never pricked her!! So sweet. Have to get stuck in to some tidying as well, after the wedding!!!
