DRESS FINISHED.
Hope I am not boring you all to death but I know there are a couple of Cuties that would like to see the finished result. I found out that I had cut the skirt too short - hence the border. I actually think the border has given the dress a lift.

Aha! Sarah, this is just what it needed. Well done you!!!! I love the idea of securing the belt with the button in the centre front too. This will look beautiful on Georgie and tell her from me that our girls wear dresses like this and get lots of comments on how beautiful they look. I've said it many times before little girls look gorgeous in pretty dresses - very feminine. Now you've done one, you'll have to make more! They are easy aren't they? Thank you Chris. I still cannot believe that I managed to get the material right here. I also have enough to make another band if Georgie has a growth spurt. Hopefully we night even get a picture of Georgie wearing it!! I now wait to see if it fits, then I think I will make another one with a square neck and embroider the bodice. Thank you for all your help.

It looks beautiful with the addition of the red hem band. When Plan A doesn't work we go to Plan B. Now, if you have any fabric leftover, her doll would probably like to have a matching dress. LOL
