I sewed row by row, taked a slim batting and minky as back. The blocks i quilted first with stich in the ditch and then i worked with the hoop.

Nicely done. I love feather quilting, and have watched and rewatched utube how to free motion them, but don't feel up to it yet, so I also use designs like these for my quilts.

I have a question - probably obvious to everyone but me! When you quilt in the hoop, do sew the top, batting and back at the same time and use tear away backing? Do you need backing? Thanks.

I sew the sandwich, top, batting, back in the same time without any backing.
