I don't know if it's real. I do believe people sent their recipes to Debbie to use. I personally have always used the recipe on the back of White Lily Self-Rising Buttermilk White Cornmeal Mix. I know everyone has their favorite mix or recipe from scratch. The mixes are faster to make. Kay

Great job, Kay.........Love the red thread against the towel..really shows up nicely........

I was afraid it might not show up , but it did. I used a very deep red thread with a touch of brown in it. I tried to match the red stripe which also goes down the sides of the towel. Kay

Oh! dear, I have been buying Debbie Foote's recipe towels for years from her various sites. I am not sure the name she uses now. Maybe Grandma Debbie. Designs ? Can someone help me. Just Google Debbie Foote. Kay

I never knew there was such a thing as self rising cormeal! Learn something every day. I like these designs on towels. They are so "kitcheny."

It is called cornmeal mix. I use it all the time. Aunt Jemima and Martha White are, I believe, two of the companies who put it out.

In the South we buy White Lily brand a lot. I have always loved White Lily flour for baking. It is made from winter wheat. I don't know if this recipe works. I Have never made corn bread with sour cream, but I do know to always use a cast iron preheated skillet for that perfect crust. Kay

Wow, I don't remember that one. I will have to look.. I think Debbie Foote has over 300 different ones. Her newer ones are much easier to stitch, as they are already put together in one hoop. Kay
