The Proverbial Bad Penny Returns:
Good morning to all you gorgeously caring ladies from around the world.
Now, where do I start? The most important message is to thank you all so much for the concerns you have expressed and for your best wishes. I also hope that you will accept my apologies for not replying to those who have enquired after me. There have been too many occasions when I have intended to post a reply but then found myself hit with set-back after set-back. I have convinced myself that this has come about as a result of the anticipated excitement of getting back with my 'extended family.'
Without wishing to cause embarrassment to individuals, I would like to thank Suedewsbury (Sue), Asterixsew (Caroline) and Pennifold (Chris) for their kindness and messages of support on behalf of you all. I still have to reply to Chris and Caroline (which I will do) but I was fortunate to be able to personally thank Sue for her kindness when she telephoned me quite recently. Caroline sent me a lovely card displaying a picture of some of the UK Cuties on a break from one of their recent visits to a craft exhibition. I shall try to put this up on the site for you all soon.
Although I have not posted for many months, I have popped in from time to time to check that you have all been behaving yourselves. Generally speaking, this would appear to have been the case although I do wish that some of the Cuties would take advantage of the 'Help' thread started by Sue and contributed to by so many others. Oh! and that Pennifold lady has been noted doing much gloating over certain recent events involving a game invented in England!! Still, at least our ladies didn't let us down.
I haven't commented on my personal circumstances quite simply because thinking about it too much does get me down and besides, there is already far too much gloom in this world of ours. I shall post here as much as I am able to but inevitably there are going to be further times when I may appear to have gone absent without leave. I know that you will understand this.
Finally (for the time being), my congratulations to Rescuer for her elevation to The Grand Order of Moderators. Oh! and to Meganne................it is so lovely to see you posting...................and is there any chance you could donate some of that money you won recently to me, instead of wasting it on a new dining table?
Once again, thank you everyone for your kind support.
we all missed you and and your special input here.
When you can: pop in, we will be waiting here for you.
Say hello to Anne and the dogs, and please
take care and try to behave :)
P.S. The word is not congratulations -- it is condolences. They mean entirely different things. ;)
You have been sorely missed and probably would have had burning ears on many occasions over the last few months, especially as Chris and I often discussed your disappearance and said quite a few prayers for your well being. She will be so pleased when she sees this post, as was I.
As for the dining table, 1,000 Aussie dollars is only worth 532 British Pounds, hardly worth having really. :-0
BTW it did originally come from Old Blighty, albeit 100 years ago, so is that more acceptable? It was to me. hehehee!
Anyway, it is great to see you back. Hugs n roses, Meganne
Hugs to you!
Angel
As mentioned Sue, Carolyn and Chris, have kept us informed when they have heard from you.
I am wishing that you have the best that 2014 has to offer.
Hugs from Canada

I'm glad you are feeling better and hope that you will continue to grow stronger. We have left you on the prayer list for quite a while now and hope that you will soon say, "All's well".
Thanks for checking in.

I got quite cocky whilst you were not here bragging about the Aussies winning THE ASHES! I think poor England's cricket team got a hiding and we were gloating in the afterglow!!!! Never mind it will be your turn again eventually to regain them.
I'm so glad Sue rang you - I wrote to her and asked her to ring you and just check on how you were faring. I understand and respect your right to your privacy about your health, I'm just so thankful that you know how much WE ALL CARE about you.
To say I'm delighted to read your post is an understatement. Love and blessings and wishing you all the best for you and Anne this year. Love Chris
P.S. When Meg SMS'd me about her win, I said "Oh! good you can buy me a coffee, when next I'm down your way!" She said, "Too late, it's already been spent on a dining table!" never mind, I'll see her next week and we'll go have a cuppa and we'll think of you over in the mother land.
"extended family" - Wishing you progress on your way to recovery!
Would be a lovely idea to see you sitting at the new bought dining table in Meg's Australian home together with your closest family members :-) one day. This would be a share of her lottery win - a win win situation
Love from the continent - Maria
I was to fly to Townsville, Far North Queensland today, to celebrate my granddaughter`s 7th birthday, however we had rebook the flights due to Cyclone Dylan hitting that area of Australia today.
The good news is we will celebrate her birthday next weekend, and all us cuties can celebrate `Dennis`s Reappearance` on Cute Embroidery. Love to you and Anne and the dogs- Barb.
thanks for posting again, once in a while is fine with me...I can feel the urge to do the same lately unfortunately. I can have a couple of days away and then when you see a post that really interests you in Personal, you think 'well that'll teach me for not checking in" Life sure is not easy for anyone these days, I am surrounded with depressed family members and it is starting to take it's toll on me also...but hey someone has to try to keep going for all of us....Now about our Chris,,,,
Actually even I watched the cricket this year, and got to say I did love our T20 games...but hey what would we do with out your boys here to have some fun with... Stay well mate.....
Take care
with big hugs from London
Maria xx
I thought it was rather nice and sporting of the lady cricketers to let the England side win this time but, of course, there's always next time..... :}
Can't wait for the next showdown..... Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi Oi Oi....
