Have bitten the bullet and bought a new wireless keyboard and mouse. - now, What do I do with my old keyboard and mouse?

Unless you want a spare, if you have a local thrift store you could donate it. I hate to throw just anything away.

Donate to a school, or watch for a recycling day for techie items. They have lots of bad chemicals in them we don't want in our landfills.

Keep it. They day you run out off your batteries and don't have new ones, you will be happy

Agree with Zoefzoef. Keep them for when your battery goes flat and you don't have new or recharged batteries on hand. The batteries go out without any warning.
