Thankyou so much, Everybody. February 5 crept up on me and, yes, I did forget it was my birthday, but it's been a perfect day made all the better for the news that my DHDon is being discharged from hospital tomorrow morning so that he can go back tomorrow afternoon to see the visiting oncologist. It's been a worrying journey but today I am rejoicing in all good things.
Have you ever heard the little poem by Robert Louis Stevenson?.....
The world is so full of a number of things
I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings.
This little couplet uplifts me when things get a bit down and today I am reminded that I have friends whom I shall never meet but who care enough to take time to share my special day.
Today, God has turned on a really warm perfect Aussie summer day - the kind of day the roses love - please share my happiness and know that I am grateful to every one of you who has helped to make this day one to remember.
