I finally finished my grandson's first quilt from me. I embroidered his name on it and documented on the back. His great grandmother, my ex's mom died on Christmas day, and my daughter gave me some old sheets that had been her's to donate. I found a flat sheet in very good condition so I decided to use it as the backing and add a little note about his grandmother on the back. I am now working on another quilt, an "I SPY" laptop or picnic quilt. I haven't been in the mood to quilt all winter and now I feel like making quilts, lol.

Once i get this one done I need to pull out my stacked blocks quilt and finish it as well.
Thanks for looking
Hugs
Diane

Very thoughtful and kind of your to make note of the other Grandma's contribution to the quilt. He should cherish you and the quilt.

Very nice arrangement of blocks-and blue! I find I need to "want" to quilt, also. Should be doing that instead of this, but being snow/iced in, I'll get to it. I do feel better having done some each day. Make sure to share the next.

How nice to be able to use something from great grandmother as well - this should be a family heirloom then. Like your design too. Really nice use of the printed fabric.

Diane, quilting is so much therapy? Don't you think? Your quilt is beautiful. The colours are so appealing. Lucky grandson. mycarole
