No, but I hooped the tiniest little baby sweater and stitched a precious monkey on it. When I unpinned all and unrolled and de-hooped, behold, an upside down monkey.

Oh dear what did you do then?

You could have just added a vine with some green ricrac & said he was swinging on the vine that's why he was upside down...lol

I spelled first as "1rst" instead of "1st" as in, "Baby's 1rst Halloween" - my family gave me a terrible time about it!!! Oh well!! Hugs, Laura*

Yes, I did some hand towels and instead of saying the name as plural, I put it in as possessive....I was able to pick it out, but there is a rather large space there. (Is this going to be a true confessions section? If so, I'm leaving.) LOL

A couple of times I have misspelled names incorrectly and had to re do the towels :( I never sew in the evening (luckily I am retired), because of light, being tired but mainly for doing 'silly' things!!!

No evenings for me as I don't see the thread colors. Sometimes , I select the colors in day light and then stitch and night.

Spelling mistakes are only one of many types of mistakes we can make. I continue to make new and different mistakes as the years go by.

Yes. I renamed one of my sons! in a stitch out. :-) He still uses the item many years later and every now and then someone asks him about it. He is so gorgeous!

Years ago I was stitching designs for a Christian book store and stitched a bible verse on either linen or felt then mounted and matted on foam core board and repeated a word. No one noticed it until a lady bought it and her husband noticed it after she had paid a framer to frame it. Needless to say , I was up until the wee hours correcting and personally re framing.. KAY

Oh no...I'm sure we've all done some sort of thing like that. Did you manage to sort it out? or have to re-do the project?
