You are getting there. You can float another piece underneath if you want to try again. Is your fabric taunt in the hoop? My test is to turn my hooped project upside down on a hard surface (like a table) and push my finger gently in the center of the hoop. It will go to the table, but only where my finger is, not the entire hooped section.
