I have had my MRI done yesterday & things have changed @ this hospital in the last year (my last MRI was here in town we are outdated!) They give you a helmet to wear that sits on the top of the machine & covers your face rather like a skiing helmet without the backside. For me this was a great improvement no fear of that silly green thing touching my face. One of the best improvements they have made is because they told me on Sat not to wear any piercings (ears) or metals or jewelry I came dressed with a genie bra, track pants, Tee & a sweater with plastic buttons I did NOT have to wear that ridiculous hospital gown!!!! BIG improvements. She started off screwing up my IV & took 3 times to get it so now I have 3 holes in my arm & today it is Carolyn's favorite colour. but then another one came & measured my head before the procedure & the swelling has reduced 3 inches from last year!!!!!!!! 3 whole inches Trust me when I say I felt it. She told me right off the bat that she was doing two 3 minutes tests then the 4 min test then she would come in & start the radiation drip & then the dye for 4 minutes & then a 3 minute one & then I would be done..............I was ok with that thinking 22 minutes I can do this (there is a 1 min wait between each so she can program the machine) all was going well until she did the last test & when the 3 minute was to start she said ok this is it the last one hang in there you are doing great.............. when she was done she said very softly ah I just want to check the timing.....................she came back & said in a very forced cheerful voice (you know we can tell this! honestly) well I am just going to do this one more time & so she did. then she held my hand & walked me back to where hubby was sitting? that was also NEW. I speculated all the way home & I am done guessing or worrying anymore for now. I will get the results in 3 weeks time & then have to go back to see the Dr. to get them. I will say this when she was just about to put me inside the chamber she ok go to your happy place now.......a lovely tropical island. I went "on a cutie cruise & imagined meeting all of you & it was so much fun trying to remember everyone's name" It really did help!
It would be lovey to have a world wide Cute gathering. One day -- in a perfect world we will all meet.
Hugs
I love your happy place and hope you saved me a seat!
I will continue to pray for you, sweet Loralye. Congratulations on loosing 3 inches! That really sounds promising.
I am leaving at that happy and positive point my friend, Prayers are for three weeks time.
Hugs Pam.
The 3 week wait will go fast with you keeping busy with your emb. and being here on cute!
Only good thoughts please!
All jokes aside, I am so glad your MRI went well for you Loralye and a THREE INCH reduction, WOW! WOW! WOW! I am thrilled to bits for you girlfriend.
Now where are we going for three weeks while we await the results, would you like to see ALASKA? I believe the Alaskan cruise is awesome, and it would probably take three weeks there and back.
OK, well meet me and the other Cuties at the dock and we'll dream up a storm of fun, sailing to Alaska, every night for the next three weeks until you get your GREAT news. (great news always takes longer to arrive so no negative thoughts please)
Huge hugs and blessings and lots of love and positive thoughts and an Angel or two, too, to watch over you, Meg
