I have made a full set of covers for dining chairs, on the backs I embroidered a rose with a satin appliqué centre, a matching table runner and four cushions. they looked nice all together. These are for my Brother and Sister in law.

took it apart, unpicked the old fabric, then I had a templet,
cut the new fabric big enough to go in the hoop . did embroidery, cut to right size did the seams back up inserted back into the wood panels and ha ho.

Thank you for your kind words,If you use Upholstery fabric for thing that is going to be washed, wash it first as it will shrink a little.
