That is so neat! A friend gave me one she'd gotten at a show. However, it wasn't quilted or the botton sewn on the flap. I like yours much better as the one I have sorta doesn't want to stay open. It's for the thread ends so it sits by my machine...one of them!

you could do it in Easter Fabric to make an Easter basket or you could make 2 of them & turn one upstairs & then glue a pompom onto the (bottom) & place a spare roll of tp inside & then use the bottom to cover it up! AM I saying it right?

Lovely colours, Carolyn. These baskets are just like the soup bowl holders we had some time ago. Only difference apart from the size is the buttons on the flaps.

ooooh, what an original idea for a thread catcher ( a bit smaller)..you inspire us all! Yes, Noah, I have done many quilts with the 'meander'/stipple stitch--or my own version- many lap quilts and even 2 K size. It is fun to do and quick for charity quilts.

Good morning Carolyn! I'm back! I like all of this project.I especially LOVE your fabrics.I tried the free hand quilting and I must say,I do need more practice-lol-I wasn't very good at it. Is that a banketstitch around the outer edge? I hope I can figure out how you folded, to make your corners, and end up with your buttoned flap. It's probally simple but my brain is too this morning-lol -Toogie
