It is raining again... Two days ago we lost power in very high winds. There have been quite a number of trees that have blown down. This has caused a loss of power and for us we had no power for 28 hours. Luckily I use bottled gas for my hob so we were able to have hot food and drinks. The roof has lost a few tiles but my neighbours has many missing tiles and after tonight's rain they will have some wet rooms. No electricity means no lights, no embroidery machine and many telephones need electricity to work. Luckily we have a 50 year old dial phone so we could keep in contact with the outside world. I now have a huge pile of washing to dry as my daughters tumble dryer is broken. Sue D kindly phoned as we were all wandering around in the dark and my older grandson was here for a bath as we had hot water (from the back boiler) Sue was aware that I had not posted in a few days nor replied to the very sad news of Ann Scott's death.
Thanks to all for replying to Sue's post on our lack of power
Hugs Pam.
Hugs and best wishes!!
