What do you use to help your hoop from slipping around when you are hooping heavy or slippery fabric?
I found a very useful tip to hoop slippery type of fabric.
Emb Library suggest to use a non slip fabric like the one used in cupboards or shelves. It works wonder. Check out the link below for more.

I use strips of tear away along the long edges of the hoop. It works great. The shelving is too thick for my use. I can hoop the tear away and rip away anything in the way.

I'll have to try that one too. Thanks.
The shelving is not used in the hoop in the tutorial. The hoop is placed on the shelving to keep it from slipping around while you sandwich your stabilizer and fabric.

Great idea, I will try this. I also have a tip - if your foot pedal moves around. Use a piece of this on the floor and then put a rubber band on your foot (sewing foot) LOL and it does not travel around the room LOL

My foot pedal is also slipping and sliding. Of course I'll do that too.

It is such a shame the tips get lost in the mass of questions, so new members can't access them. Maybe it helps that you added a tag.

Could you suggest a tag for me. I did tagg it "tips", but that may not work.
