Just sharing some good kitten news........we finally got some blood drawn on the basement kittens and they are FEL & FIV negative, so we can slowly start integrating them. Sammi is being a bully.....he is growling and making that loud cat yell and then slaps them. We only let him go into their room supervised until we feel it is safe....fortunately, the girls do not respond in kind to him....they back right up, yet they are very curious about him. Our one almost 18 year old girl upstairs, Tux (Graycie's sister) her pic is below, has CRF...Chronic renal failure, but we are sub Q'ing her twice aweek and she is thriving....thanks for letting me share my good news about the kittens!!!!

I had a cat with CRF - she was 191/2 when diagnosed - she made it 20 days passed her 20th birthday. Love them as long as you can.

Wow....did you sub Q her? It is horrible to see them get old!
But, couldn't imagine our life without them.......

Great news Vicki, so glad all is well and Tux is looking amazing.
All my fears of our big boy Spanky hurting Tao were unfounded as they are getting along fabulously. In fact they get along so well that when Tao goes to bed at night, (in my ensuite which has an external sliding door) Spanky gets on the outside of the door, Tao gets on the inside and between them they get the door open so Tao can get out.
The first time it happened we thought it was a fluke and laughed our heads off, but when it kept on happening we had to find something to block Spanky's access. I am no longer in "over protective" mode. :-)

Oh, Meg that is fabulous news!!! I am going to get some of those treats that Suzanne talks about to try to calm Sammi down....He has been sniffing them through the screen door for 2 months now, you would think he would know their scent.......Again, I am so happy to hear you can now relax a bit with your "kids"....makes it so much more fun for all!!

Tux looks so regal posing for her picture. I love good news and happy stories. I was wondering how the kittens were doing. Wonderful that they are happy and healthy.

Great news Vicki - love your cat stories. Wish I could have a cat but Mushu thinks they are just for chasing.

Beatuiful cat.. Love it when they test negative on everything. I am not sure where you are but you can get calm down treats that are all natural and they really work. I use them on the feral cats I am fixing or the ones that need calming down to work with them. You can get them from Chewy.com here is the link
It helps when intergrating cats too. Give the bully cat one fish and wait about 20 minutes to a half hour ...Guarentee he will be calm and more accepting. You can give them up to two treats. Small cats I just give them the tail part. Works wonders. What takes cats weeks to socialize with nothing can be weeks even months. With these treats it takes days to a week. I can not tell you how wonderful they are. The cats love them too. Hope this helps! Suzanne

Oh Tux, you are so beautiful! And you are such an older sweetie pie too. You and Graycie have been able to live your whole lives together, isn't that so wonderful. I'm sure you and Graycie will welcome these new little sisters into your home. Not like that big ole Mr. Sammi. Where are his manners??

He must have left them at the door when he walked into our house!! He is sure respecting the squirt gun.......I only use it if he makes that weird cry or rushes at them.....He will sit on the basement steps when I open the door and he has them too intimidated to walk up the steps past him.
He is the stair monitor!!! LOL!

I'm so very very happy they are testing negative! Praise the Lord on that! You would think Sammi wouldn't mind as they are female!
