Carolyn - I know that I am not 'new' to Cute but I cannot remember seeing this before. I know that I can do this but why does it make me tremble at the thought of making a quilt???? Thank you for showing us the detail in the squares. Perhaps one day I will try. Love your pretty quilt. Hugs Sarah.

Hey, just go for it...I am sure you can do it...you just have to make a start, and it will all flow along beautifully for sure...
by noah 23 Feb 2014
you don't even need to add borders to a quilt like this just make 10x10 square and add to them hugs

It's me again. I keep coming back to this quilt. I just love the way the blocks set en pointe have given this quilt pizzaz. It's a huge inspiration to me. Two years ago I made a set of disappearing nine-patch blocks with the intention of machine stitching fantasy birds on black blocks to go in between the nine-patch ones. That's as far as I got. Life happened then, but I visit this post each day and the urge to finish those bird designs is very strong now. However, I'm glad I procrastinated so long because now I want to set the blocks en pointe, like yours, not as I originally planned just straight across.
My quilt might end up busy but I'll see how it goes. Yours looks so fresh and light and inviting.
