Evie inspired me to make a basket like hers. I was going to use some ceramic buttons I had made years ago, but as luck would have it I only had 3 buttons. So I put stars on mine too. They are fun and quick to make only took me about an hour, start to finish. I do not like the tabs on the inside though. hugs, Susan

I love it Susan. The ceramic buttons would have been perfect, but the stars fit the fabric also.
They are addictive.

Yes. they are. I think they would make cute Easter Baskets too. Just have to figure out how to add the handle. I think I would rather make the outside and the lining separately though so I could trim the flaps away. If I did that it would be easy the tuck the handle in while sewing. Susan

Susan, I love it and the stars too...Your little flags are so nice...I really don't like the tabs inside either..What I did was glue them down with just a dab of Fabri-Tac (great stuff) going around like in a circle..It leaves the top open, but thats not a bad thing, little things can go in them...!! Did you quilt yours too?
Make more!!!!!!

I did tack mine down, But they still look bulky to me, Think I will stitch over them and add bias tape like Mops suggested. I did quilt it. I just kept going around it in concentric squares.

Why does this happen...I looked and my comment was not there so I did it again and then there were two...that has happened to me twice, why?

Nice one - why not cut the tabs off and overlock or zig zag the edge?

I used a piece of bias tape instead of overlocking, works well.

Thanks I like the bias tape idea.
