It sounds as if it is much needed, but a pain that it all has to come at once. I hope you don't have to suffer the conditions some people here in UK have had over the last three months.

Glad for the rain, but wish it would be a slow soaker for you instead of run off. Mother nature has been very busy this season. Hope you get what you need, and not more than you wished for.

I hope all are safe from the resulting events - mudslides, bridges and road falling apart in the flooding.

I hope you don't get flash flooding there. In Newcastle yesterday we had over 2 and a 1/2 inches of rain ( 66.4mm) and today it's still raining, but a heavy drizzle. We are in desperate need of it and our farmers are really battling with drought. The weather has been really weird the past couple of seasons. I hope you are high and dry so to speak. Love Chris

P.S. and I broke my favourite umbrella yesterday - one of the spokes snapped in half. It's like a big golf umbrella! Never mind I can always rely on Dennis to send me one, they have thousands in England!!!!!!!

Hmm... I think I'll take the 12 inches of snow we will be getting this weekend, instead your 10 inches of rain. But I hope some of it stays around long enough to soak the farmlands there. Heaven knows they REALLY need it. Stay dry!

Sorry Kim, I washed my car -- next time I will just go through the drive through wash. Washing by wand/hand causes too much rain at once. ;)
We are having rain as well -- MUCH needed rain.

I know you wanted respite from the drought but I hope you don't end up getting flooding! Seems like the whole world is getting whacky weather lately. We had just a couple of days last week it was up ino the 40's (F*) here but back to old man winter. Everyone here has a bad case of cabin fever and just waiting for some of that wonderful sunshine you Californians are known to have! I'm so glad you are finally getting some rain, I just pray you don't get too much all at once!

Are you still okay over there? I was watching a report on our Sky news this morning, regarding the preparations for the Oscars. It seems that the greatest worry is that all the 'luvvies' might get wet!

No mudslides in my area but this cyclone Titan is huge and will affect the rest of the USA next week. So far at least 3 inches of rain and no flooding. Our parched land absorbed the rain nicely. Friday AM I had to go out in take down my metal gazebo that the winds trashed. Took about 2 hours but not to bad and it really is a warm system so I wasn't even cold. Overall, its not as bad as when El Nino was here in late 90s
causing havoc for days and weeks. I think most of Southern California was prepared as best as can be. Thank goodness.
Oh I hear rain coming down hard right now 4AM on Sunday and possibly thunderstorms this am.
For the Oscars they build covered canopies so the red carpet will be dry and the rain is predicted to be over by Sunday PM

Oh, I'm old enough to remember that song, darn it! Hope your reservoirs get filled from the rain, and it soaks into the land , and doesn't cause too many problems coming all at once like that. But thank heaven you're at least getting rain!! Hugs, Ma
