I am sorry she thinks so, it's lovely. You must feel really disappointed!
I still have a lovely never worn dress my mother made for my elder daughter when she was 8 yrs old. She flatly told my mum that after the schooluniform she had to wear in England she never wanted to wear a dress again; and the first time she did was on her wedding day.

I hope your GD will love the doggy so much she will be proud to wear it after all - it is so cute.

So sorry for her reaction - I think it is ADORABLE! Maybe make her the little purse of Sue's that is on MyGardenED.com to go with it (does the same thing, wraps around the purse with the body).

This is lovely with the dog around. May be your GD likes it more with some pink details as buttons and the dogs ribbon.

Clever idea. Blue is suitable for girls as well as boys. Would look great with jeans.

It's adorable! I bought the same pattern last year, but haven't made it yet. I bought it for my little granddaughters. I'm sorry she doesn't like it. Maybe ask to tell you what would make it look less like it was for a boy? Would bows help?

They are so cute! My grandgirls would love that, What if you add a heart or something like her monogram or flower to it somewhere? Or add some bling like crystals to the collar? Or beading sewn on?

I think it's adorable - just put a bow on the collar of the dog and it'll turn into a "girl" coat - my DGD is exactly like yours when it comes to not wanting anything that she thinks is for boys.

This little childs coat you've made is delightful &the dochsy looks adorable too. Perhaps your granddaughter might like a ribbon bow on the dog. Thanks for sharing your work. :~D
