Dear Cuties,
I do not know if this will reach the newer Cuties or not. I want newer Cuties to know that most of us here are fiercely loyal to this site and the site owner. The Cuties that have been here a long time get very frustrated with newer Cuties that seem to be here only for what they can get. This community is much more than a place to get free things. It is more than a daily free design and more than the DBC. It is a place to give, to share heartwarming or heart wrenching stories. It is a place to display our talents and gifts in the Projects tab. It is a place to be cheered and a place to laugh. We come here (many of us – daily for years) to join in with discussions and give virtual flowers and hugs. We support each other and care a great deal about friends we have grown to love and respect world-wide.
As a Cutie I can tell you, I adore this place called Cute! I have made wonderful friends and been helped in so many ways. I have made friends that I may never see in person. I have been inspired, taught, supported and encouraged here. I know this post will be buried like all the rest – but I wanted the new Cuties to know we really love it here! We want you to see the real benefits of being a Cutie and that has nothing to do with freebies.
I guess what I am saying is – if you have come here to constantly complain about this site or if you have come only to get all you can and give nothing – please do not be surprised if you are not welcomed with open arms. We love welcoming new Cuties. We love helping when and wherever we can. However, we won’t break copyright or other laws for you. We won’t stand by while you misrepresent the truth about your experience with this site. We won’t let you violate the Terms and Conditions of this site. We won’t let you ruin the wonderful place this is to us – as it is our online home. You are welcome here but please be respectful as you would be if you were a guest in someone else’s home. Try not to complain about the free accommodations, the owner or the community. Because in reality – we are ALL guests in Veronika’s online “home” and we should all be more appreciative she invites us here and gives us a place to chat and show our work as well as the many gifts she gives. We should all treat her generosity with respect.

Not quite sure what prompted your open letter, and as I still consider myself a newbie, I must agree with you, I have learnt so very much from this site and have to have my daily dose of questions, projects and comments from all the very talented people here before my day starts so keep up the good work cuties I love this site.

Carol, many of us have been at this awhile and we all have something new to learn! I've been at it over 6 years and just now getting into ith projects. Just go at your own pace and don't be afraid to try something new. Learning is not just for newbies! lol

I have been machine embroidering for about 10 years---ALWAYS learn something new EVERY TIME I visit Cute. I have been at it a long time, but I NEVER stop learning and trying new things. Yes, CUTE is the best and you all are what gets me going each day. I found this site initially for the freebies but soon came to love Cuties and mostly forget the design aspect. The love and encouragement are what draws me here now

This is one of the nicest friendliest sites I have ever had the good fortune to be a member of, although I hardly have a minute to do any embroidery these day due to my beautiful granddaughter who I have five days a week (19 months now), but I still check in when I can and look at all the wonderful creations. :) Diana

You are soooooo lucky....Mine grands are 500 miles away and we are fortunate to see them every 2-3 months,,,,Love it and THEM!!!!!!!!!! And the gdaughter asks when she can learn to sew:):):) Mom knows how to do basics---I taught her the basics--she has picked up many things on her own---but no time---works 6 days a week at home--3 kids to chase and run---and husband working on college degree--night school---running 3 kids--cooking---they are young--wish we were closer but not possible at this time!!!God bless you..

Especially for shutins and those of us stranded INSIDE because of ICE and age and cannot get out----we NEED the love and support and caring for each other that we can only find through phone calls to local friends and outside of the local area ON CUTE:)::):) God bless y'all.

Thank you. I may not post often, but I do read most post. I laugh and cry and am happy and sad with you all. I also get annoyed when something is said that isn't nice.
I love to come here and catch up with all that is going on and am in awe of all the talent and beautiful creations.
Everyone is so giving with help when it is needed, sometimes I don't need to ask a question cause someone else has the same problem and I find the answer. I give flowers profusely as a way of saying thank you.

As a fairly long time "lurker" and new poster I have always been impressed by the civility (sp?) and kindness exhibited on this site. I am not one to post a lot and do not have the time to play with my machines that I thought I would have once retired. It seems there are less hours in the day than when I was working full time. But I wouldn't trade chasing my beautiful granddaughters now for all the machine time in the world.
I do so appreciate all the work of Miss Veronika and the moderators. Even if there were no freebies associated with this site I would continue to visit and occasionally post.

Kudos to you for a piece well thought out and written with kindness. No matter what the organization, club , web group,etc. It always makes me cringe when someone joins and immediately starts out with what is wrong or "We used to do it(whatever "it" is) thus and so. But, at first, it was the freebies that kept drawing me back - I was very thankful for them! Then I started spending more time on here and reading as many posts as I could and then there's the Projects - wow! - what an inspiration!
Since then I have had so much help - sometimes not by a question I have asked but one someone else has asked that gave me information that I didn't know I needed (suprisingly).
I rarely go to other sites as there is so much here and thanks to the cuties I have learned a lot and come a long way in this new(still) hobby. Love all the help and info and any newbie should realize how much they can benefit from this site with freebies the icing on the cake!

Thanx for posting these feelings for all of us who love this site and all of our special friends we've been through thick and thin with. I used to talk to my husband about different Cuties and what they were going through at the time as if they lived next door. He was quick, it didn't take him long to know all the names of my Cute family!!! I miss him so much and it will be a year on the 14th of March that he went to Heaven, (Sorry for the side trip), but you know, we are family! All different, but the same! If a person doesn't like what is offered than can always go elsewhere. I came here for the free designs. Saw a cute snowman and decided to investigate and stayed.
I have noticed that some folk just buy the whole set when an alphabet or a series starts and good on them. I have missed a few of the freebies in the sets and if I really want them I can always buy the individual designs or the set. I feel like I have embroidery designs coming out my ears so am not downloading any more unless something comes up that I really MUST have... :-)

Excellent advice for newbies and some of us who have been here a little while too. I don't join in very many discussions as I don't seem to have the time, but I do appreciate all the generous gifts from Veronika and other cuties and I try to give advice when requested (the few times I feel that I might have something to add). Most of the time, though, it's all been covered by the time I read it. I'm afraid I've posted no projects though as I seem to give them all away before I remember to take a picture.

Just so u know, I may not comment a lot and haven't added any more pics since the first batch i posted but i do come to visit on pretty much a daily basis and love the site! I have learned sew much just reading the posts and want to thank each and every one of u for the inspiration you give! I will be finished working on the 13th of this month and then on the 24th, I go in for a total hip replacement. So after i am recovered from that, I hope to be able to get a lot more sewing/embroidery done and will post more pics. Hoping i will feel up to following cute shortly after my surgery!
