I did a onesie for a girlfriend. Her husband is on his 3rd tour in Iraq and he is the baby's Godfather. Because it was so tiny... i made a patch and sewed it on. She loved it.

This is so cute. I usually stitch on something and attach it to the onsie when I do a gift like this too. I am always afraid that the stitches or stabilizer will scratch the baby. And tell you friend to let her husband know that we are so supportive to him and our troops.
