I just finished Caleb's quilt or coverlet, queen sized. It was my first and probally my last blue jean, this size anyway.Sure is a lot of red check (255).I want to make him some shams, in case he would use it for a bedcoverlet and I would also like to make some white pillowcases with emb. on them in Red, so all will match.Any emb ideas for the cases or for the shams to tone down all the check but still match? Last name is "C" too.....Will have to wait a while tho.I am 'drunk as a skunk". Drugged to the ER almost kicking and screaming by my kids-Diagnosed Vertigo, hello Karen, aka o2kar.If I take meds,I sleep.Slept from Thurs to Mon morning, just waking up for few min at a time.Gotta work tomorrow so can't take meds.Hope I can work.-Toogie

Sorry about the vertigo and meds. How about red gingham piping, then red monogram or red in the design? Or solid red pillowcases with white monogram?

Like the piping idea.Husband i think likes the back of the quilt better and Caleb probally will too.Think it might be too much red for him.

I don't have any idea for you right now on the shams -- but I will add you to my prayers again. I hope you get well soon!

Oh my goodness!!! Toogie I hope you are feeling better!! If you do go to work, I hope hubby will take you, don't take any chances behind the wheel! Another day of rest or so may not be a bad idea. Sharon

He is driving me this morning, although he doesn't usually get up at 5 am,like me-lol-I'll see how it goes today.I have a good many sick days but had to take a month off in sept/Oct so need to save them in case things get worse.

I am glad you finished the quilt. I bet it is gorgeous. I am sorry you are still dizzy. Did you try taking a 1/2 a pill instead of a whole pill? I did better with the 1/2 pill.

Have you posted your project yet? It sounds like a nice one, I had high hopes of making one in the past but never did. Denim isn't the easiest to work with I'm sure.

ps- If you do make one I would suggest something smaller, not bigger than twin.It gets hard to handle and the patches can't be very large b/c you are using legs of jeans.I ended up with 255 for this queen size.I should have made it camo like he wanted because it is a lot of red.My DH likes the reverse side, the denim.
