I love the print fabrics you have used, but the whole thing is a bit busy for me.

I think you were on the right track, but I agree with Sue. Use fewer designs because the prints are busy. I love the little dragonfly.

Beautiful designs and you did awesome work with the trees. The trees together take on a snowflake design in middle. I think that is taken away from by the designs. If any I would have done the green in white with the stipple. Which would add to the snowflake look. Then your beautiful mat is ready for your main course in pretty bowl or basket of whatever and the circle of trees stand out. Your trees look great and your mat. Hugs~Mary

I think that you are being to hard on yourself! This is the first one you have DESIGNED & you are getting the hang of it. I like it! Take what you do like from this & bring that to your next project & go from there. I figure that is the best way to learn am I right? Hugs **

Looks good to me. Can`t see any mistake.
In Germany the people says:
First piece you make, give your enemy, second your friend and the third is for you self. This meens, all what you to first time is not so good as the second or third.
I like your centerpiece.

very nice idea ,i was thinking to try again and do smaller trees to start ,then nothing in the center but crazy quilting ,but right now i need a change from that so i will go make a few towels .That always makes me happy hugs and Thank-you :):)Carolyn

There is nothing "wrong" about this piece. It is nicely done and very crisp looking. But if you don't like it, you could embelish along the outside edge or make other changes. Usually, if I don't like something, nothing I can do will make me like it better. Not liking something usually means that the project did not turn out the way I envisioned it. You could give it to your enemy, as was suggested, and then make one that you do like for yourself!

I like the trees and as far as that goes, the whole design. i just wonder if the green in the middle is the wrong color for the autumn look. I am not brave enough to even try this yet, good for you for trying something new.
