Redwork revisited.

I could not leave the design alone and added some colour. The pastels did not photograph so well in the late afternoon light, in real life the are a bit brighter and the background is white. leaving out all but the last colour gives the redwork design.

Oh, thank you. I love redwork for its fast results and low stitch count. However, I mostly used it for my grands' colouring books with the special pens. Now that they are getting too old I thought I'd better start colouring myself.

She is beautiful. I like using Redwork for the same reasons as you (low stitch, fast result) I have been using them for cards, on paper with an iron-on tear-away (which is left on). Then take a colouring pencil and do a little highlighting, such as you have done with thread.

I won't say great minds think alike, but I do agree they often ask for a bit of colour. And I also stitch them on cards.

That is really nice, Mrs. M. Delicate, light and airy (wouldn't expect anything else from a fairy), it's almost floating. And I love the colours.
