A new begonia design.
It is 160x110 mm or 6.32"x 4.34" and has 23825 stitches, so it needs good stabilising, I used two layers of tear-away.

whole thing is knock you down pretty! - the little leaves at top center, the veining on the bigger leaves and the flowers themselves. makes me envious of your talent.

Thank you. It's the little flower petals that took the most time, but it is not that difficult to do, just takes (a lot of) patience. As I am not very patient by nature I am doing something fast and easy in between these begonias.

A white cotton, quilt quality, so I can use the squares for quilts. Must confess I have a shoebox filled with squares all waiting to be used.

This is a very attractive design. Thanks for add the information about the stabilizing as I always wonder about that. I can just see your box of stitchouts waiting to be used! This design would be nice on placemats too.

Thank you. They say you need one layer of stabiliser for every 10.000 stitches. It depends a bit of the design as well, Here I used 2 layers and that seemed enough.

That's the yellow, so many spring flowers are yellow - daffodils, primula and forsythia. As do varieties of crocus and tulip.

Thank you. I'm halfway through the next one - these take a lot of time with all those tiny flower petals, but they are coming. I am thinking of making a quilt too as I have also stitched out a number of variations I made.

Thank you, Chris. Spring's here already, although it is getting a bit colder than it was for a couple of glorious days, down to 10 degr C now. Crocuses, snowdrops, primula vera, daffodils, anemone nemorosa and flowering cherries and hamamelis japonica they are all in flower, but it is a bit too early for begonias. We had the one but warmest winter since 1708 or so and spring's early.
