what a thrill to see Annaleise's face when she got her quilt on saturday night .My son (her dad )asked her what she would like to do for her birthday ,(she had a sleep over on Friday night with some school friends)she said she wanted to go to nannys for dinner ,i had been working at a working bee at our church all day ,as we are getting ready to hand out all the quilts to the folk who lost thier home in the October fires, I went to she shop on the way home ,I thought Spaghetti Bolognese , BBq Chicken and salad , would be nice and easy .After dinner , we handed out gifts ,I had bought her some Minny Mouse PJs , she loved them ,then I handed her another package , she opened the paper and said ,you must have a lot of this fabric nanny ,its the same as the one you gave me for my quilt back , she read the label , then opened the quilt , and said Oh nanny its my quilt all finished ,I love it ,the spent the rest of the night in her PJs and quilt wrapped around her ,I was so happy to see her response ,I think it was a winner

I can just imagine her face all aglow and smiling ear to ear. These loving moments are why we spend so much time on projects for those we love.

So glad to hear that Annaleise loved her finished quilt. It was a shame you didn't get to take any photos.
