Look how big our baby eagle is getting!
Be sure and click on the approach cam view so you can see the nest up in the treetop and so you can watch later on when the little guy starts practicing flying.

thank you for telling about this. There use to be one in Iowa, but the man who set it up died and so I don't know if its running or not. Just love!

This is so neat to watch. I was watching the first day he tried to stand on those legs and feet of his. He looked just like a human baby trying to stand and landing on his behind. Couldn't help but laugh at the little critter. He is very entertaining. Thanks for posting this.

Today I watched as dad was feeding him a bite, then dad a bite, so on. Baby is starting to try to preen his own feathers, with a grab or two at dad's tail feathers too. (least I think it was the dad). Finally baby just sat on his backside with his feet out in front of him...he looked like an old man! But I'm sure he's a doll in the eagle world...but he does make me grin.

I've been watching her test her wings and standing looking over the edge. She should be fledging any day now. I'll miss her. :(

I love it! Love the closeups too, before the internet few would be able to see such beauty as this.

She is exercising her wings and getting ready in a couple of weeks to leave the nest.

She was roosting on the branch yesterday, she loves to hang out on the edge of the nest and groom herself. Good thing she has strong claws and a terrific sense of balance.

Yes, because she doesn't seem too flight worthy yet!
she seemed so bored yesterday - tried snuggling up to Dad!
