Hello cuties! I've not been on the site for some time as life has been really hectic as my eldest daughter was married on Friday. I know this isn't embroidery related but I thought you might like to see the stunning cake my youngest daughter made for her sister. She baked and iced the cake, never having done anything like this before. The motifs are all hand painted! Quite a work of art. She is a very talented young lady, only 18 years old! The day was perfect. I will post a photo of the bride and groom once I have them. Hope you don't mind me sharing this ♥

She did a beautiful job. Tell her she could hire out! Cakes sell for a lot of money. If there is a college nearby, she could do a booming business in roommate birthday cakes.

Thank you for all the kind comments. I have a very talented daughter! She actually has a small business, she makes(sews) pet products. She sews beautifully, she helped me with the tablecloths, overlays and tiebacks for the wedding and made the waistcoats for the men from the overs of the fabric I used to make her dress and the bridesmaid's dress. As well as her sewing business, she is at University studying psychology. She bakes for fun, is well known at the university archery club as she spoils them with tasty treats!! This cake was her dark fruit cake, a favourite of the groom's. In fact when he tasted it for the first time some years back, he told her that she was making the wedding cake! My eldest daughter then asked Emma if she would ice the cake as well to match the theme of the wedding. She was so pleased to be able to give Robyn her dream cake.
