Tomorrow I will be hitting the road nice and early in my little motor home. It will be the first time i go somewhere new that is not a rally with friends i know. I need to do this to prove to myself that i can do it.Its not a big journey just 130 miles but for me it is the start of self reliance without my husband so is a huge step.
I am going to a camp site in North Wales called Shell Island. I have actually booked to go ther in April but decided yesterday to take off and try my wings so to speak as i will be in convoy in April and then meeting up with Sue dewsbury and a Asterix for a girly sewing weekend.
I am excited and of course a wee bit aprehensive too as no electric other than the leasure battery on my motor home. I have cooking gas so no problem there and i know the place well as i used to take my children there for summer holidays in a tent. I hope the weather will be kind but i have plenty of blankets and two hot waterbottles and two little dogs so we will be snug. No sewing this trip but,,,,, I am going to crochet a rug for the Bambi from a single bed sheet... It will save the carpet from getting messed up by muddy doggy paws and the wheels of my wheelchair. I will be home on Tuesday ready for my linedancing class on Wednesday. I will show photos next week, so think of me and send me some prayers for a safe journey
Annie somewhere in the UK Have Bambi will travel.
