I did try making them with cotton backs but found the cotton will fray, I tried with one layer of felt on both the front & the back but was too flimsy. So in the end I did them with 2 layers on the front & the felt folded n half for the back pocket & they are much sturdier. Hope that this helps someone else too. ~hugs~ I think they would look lovely in MINKY but I have none so felt it is for me
