I have a 6 needle machine and 2 sewing/embroidery machines. I love having a back up machine which is what the 2nd sewing/ embroidery machine does for me. My husband forbids me to keep the 6 needle if I get a 10 needle. And they are all Babylock machines. If you have room and can afford it...I say for for it.

If you already have two of that machine I would pass (unless one of them is having problems). If it were a bigger better machine I'd think about it, but other wise I think it's a no brainer. Save the money for designs or fabric or better yet I'd be saving for at least a 6 needle brother or something along that line.

Is the 3000 dual function. If so, go for it. Then you can leave one set up to sew and the other embroidery. Just a bit of green eye envy here :-)

I also agree that you SHOULD GO for it! When one machine is in for service, you still have a back up at home. I have 3 regular embroidery machines and one small embroidery machine. Would not give up a single one of them! and just think, if you already know the Galaxie 3000, there is no learning curve! I have had 2 of my machines going when I was in a hurry to finish a gift several times. Really comes in handy! Treat Yourself!! ***FLOWERS to all***

I don't think I would want another machine just like the one I have. I would rather keep saving until the bigger and better came along. The dealer makes it sound like a one time,will never happen again deal and you must commit right now to get it before it gets away. Your question sounds as if you may be having 2nd thoughts. Good luck on your decision and let us know how you decide. Ask yourself how bad do I really need it and will you be disappointed in the future when something better comes along? Something to think about.

I have brother pe150 ( my original machine) + 2 x brother innovis 700, when I upgraded to the brother pr600 I thought I would sell one of my innovis, but I cant let go lol.. I have packed my other machines safely away as I now only use my pr600, as the thought of anything happening to this machine I have my others to back it up... my theory is I earned the money through my embroidery so I can spend it on my machines and equipment ect... my passion does pay for it self and I have quite a bit in the kitty so to speak, so I would treat myself, for me also the run up time to Christmas is the busiest I can not bear to turn work down so I often have 3 machines running at the same time lol xx

If you like the machine and you can keep three running, go for it. A bargain is a bargain only if you need it.

Go for it!! I have 2 ULT's AND the Bro Snoopy machine. Four machines are entirely too extravagant, so I just gave up my se270. We can't take it with us, so why not make our golden years really golden? That's my opinion ---it ought to be yours!!

It very much sounds to me that you would love to own this machine and that you have a trusting relationship with your dealer. My own view is that if you had not considered the need for this additional machine, you would have put it out of your mind immediately the offer had been made. No, you clearly see the benefits and have taken counsell from your eldest daughter and she has raised no questions regarding the purchase with you.
All you ladies deserve and need a treat every so often and so I would say "Give yourself the treat that you deserve."

I love my (Super) Galaxie 3000 and would happily buy another one .. I say go for it as well :) xXx

I love my machine but if I could buy another machine I would choose one that offers a much larger hoop, like the 350x360mm (14x14" approx.). <br /><br />
If the thought of a larger hoop, which allows you to embroider larger spaces more easily, doesn't appeal to you, then go for the second Galaxie 3000. Good luck!<br /><br />

If the price is a steal, and you love it, go for it. But on the other hand, if you are going to add another machine, why not go for something that has some different features, or hoop sizes you don't have?

I'm probably too late, but have a suggestion here. Before you buy, and even before you decide whether or not you want it, give it a try. Does it function well? I have a gently used Brother machine, and it has given me endless grief since the day I bought it. I do not have this particular model, but am very familiar with Brother. If it works well for you and it is at an irresistible price, then you probably won't go wrong. Good luck!!
