Now I can share the greatest news! After a 3 yr journey, this morning the papers were signed, sealed & delivered and we now have a new grand daughter, Carrie Isabella, our son & daughter in law adopted. The blanket she's wrapped in was made over 18 yrs ago by my mom for her 1st great grand...but she died before she finished the quilting. When the 1st grand was on the way, I got it out & was able to finish the hand quilting (with her voice in my head telling me how) and now all 4 of the grands have come home "wrapped in Granny Hatcher's love." We rejoice in this little angel..and I will TRY not to bore you all with too many pictures!!
Carrie in your arms and living so close by. Congratulations to your son and daughter in law, such a long wait, but oh! how wonderful. Love Chris
say Congratulations to you and your sweet family. Enjoy!! Life is sweet and children are the best gift to us human beings.
You will celebrate a very Happy Easter and be busy sewing and embroidering for this little sweet lady :-)

In Dec 2003, my eldest son married and in January of 2004 he presented us with 2 grandsons. Our first grandchildren, we were not able to get pictures of their homecoming in the suit that he had worn home from the hospital. My son adopted her 2 boys. One weighed 200 pounds and one weighed 120 pounds. Such joy to come into our lives. They were almost grown when he adopted them. We now have 3 boys and 3 girls as grandchildren. May you and your family have joy and blessings from this wonderful event.
Have fun sewing and embroidering for her.
Hugs
Unfortunately most of the time we only hear of the ones that go wrong .
